About

Kacper Kochan

WEB DEVELOPER · WARSAW · CET

Five years building websites for clinics, hospitals, and medical societies, remote from Warsaw with a US agency, on a team of three. 22 sites built end to end, around 60 touched in all: new builds, website redesigns, and the maintenance nobody puts in a portfolio.

Two platforms: WordPress with Oxygen or Divi, and an in-house CMS where I work on the presentation layer. Each has its own quirks and limits, and five years in I know where they are.

Alongside the builds there's responsive HTML email, Figma work, image optimization, and the documentation and project structure standards we work to. Claude Code is part of the day-to-day now: client builds, the technical SEO audits, and this site, which I wrote and maintain with it.

How I work

Principles I don't ship without.

The habits that don't change with the platform: WordPress, an in-house CMS, or plain HTML and CSS.

01

Fast by default

Performance is a constraint I hold from the first line of the build, including inside a page builder.

02

Accessible while I build

Keyboard, screen reader, contrast, and zoom. Checked on every template as I go.

03

Design-honest

I build what's in the Figma file, faithfully, at every screen size.

What I do
01

Websites, end to end

From a Figma file to a live site: design, templates, build, and launch. 22 of them so far, on WordPress and on an in-house CMS.

02

Performance & accessibility

Slow, janky, or unusable with a keyboard? I profile it, fix it, and leave it measurably better. Technical SEO audits run on the same pass: crawl, index, and the vitals behind both.

03

Maintenance & redesigns

Responsive HTML email, website redesigns, documentation, and five years of upkeep across a portfolio of around sixty sites.

The path here
2021 to now

Web Developer, US healthcare agency (remote)

22 sites built end to end and around 60 touched in all, across WordPress and an in-house CMS. Builds, redesigns, maintenance, responsive HTML email, Figma work, and the performance and accessibility passes behind them.

BA, American Studies

American history, culture, and language, with most of my own time going into teaching myself web development. The degree is a large part of why I ended up working with a US agency, and why five years inside an American team has come easily.
